About us

Long before any of us were born, two women met on a plane — both on their way to reunite with their husbands in a foreign country, after fleeing the war in Vietnam.

Somewhere above the clouds, they made a promise:
If they each had children of opposite sexes, their families would one day be joined.

But fate had a quiet sense of humor.
Each woman gave birth to two boys.

Those boys grew up together — bound not by blood, but by the story that came before them.
And together with three close friends, they formed a brotherhood.

A bond built on loyalty, ambition, and creation.
That brotherhood became Aishiteru, later simplified to AIU.

AIU stands for Art In Use — the belief that creativity should live beyond the canvas.
And also for Aishiteru — love, the thread that ties it all together.

From a promise made between two mothers came a generation driven to create with purpose.

Today, AIU consists of seven brothers, united by the same mission — to lift, motivate, and push each other toward their goals.

AIU Collective is a tribute to that bond.

A reminder that growth is shared, love is action, and creativity means nothing if it’s not used to elevate others.

We create with intention.
We build with heart.
We rise together.

Built on brotherhood. Rooted in love. Crafted with purpose.
